Rearden Commerce Selected as a Finalist for 2010 CODiE Awards in Two CategoriesCODiE Awards Recognizes Rearden Commerce in Best Business Productivity Solution and Best Supply Chain Solution
Rearden Commerce, Inc. announced today that they were selected as a finalist for the prestigious CODiE Awards in two categories: Best Business Productivity Solution and Best Supply Chain Solution. The Rearden Personal Assistant™ is an on-demand, intelligent business assistant that delivers personalized information and allows users to make informed decisions by considering their identity, the context of what they are doing, their immediate location and their corporate policy settings.
Rearden Commerce built the first intelligent services platform that enhances productivity by orchestrating and automating online commerce. Together with a series of applications, the platform brings increased visibility into spend across multiple categories and leverages real-time data for control over employee habits, including point-of-purchase approvals and comprehensive price comparisons.
In 2009, the company acquired more than 1400 customers and activated massive end-user populations. In a tough economic climate that saw marketplace volumes drop by 20-25 percent, Rearden Commerce saw a 63 percent increase in transactions processed through its platform, compared to the prior year. Additionally, the company has led the charge in mobile travel technology since May 2008, when it launched its BlackBerry® application that fully integrates with its online platform, as well as, its iPhone® application that launched in February 2010. The company will soon deliver a mobile web version of the application that can be accessed by any smartphone, regardless of the operating platform.
"It is an honor to be a finalist in two categories and to be among such a stellar roster of innovative companies," said Patrick Grady, CEO, Rearden Commerce. "This distinction speaks to our continual growth and innovation as well as our commitment to our customers and end-users."
In the Best Business Productivity Solutions category, Rearden Commerce is one of four solutions selected from 37 nominated products. The CODiEs were established in 1986 by the Software Publishers Association (SPA), which preceded the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). The program was created so that pioneers of the then-nascent software industry could evaluate and honor each other's work. Since then, the CODiE Awards program has carried out the same purpose - to showcase the software and information industry's finest products and services and to honor excellence in corporate achievement and philanthropic efforts.
The Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry. SIIA provides global services in government relations, business development, corporate education and intellectual property protection to 500 leading software and information companies.
