Rearden Commerce Partners With Top Travel Content Providers To Deliver Relevant Flight, Hotel And Rail Search Results To Business Travelers

TripAdvisor, SeatGuru and SilverRail Technologies tapped to fuel personalized travel recommendations via Rearden Commerce’s Relevance Engine

Innovating to transform the entire online booking process to make it simpler and more relevant for users, Rearden Commerce, the next-generation eCommerce platform company, today announced three new partnerships with top travel content providers TripAdvisor, SeatGuru and SilverRail Technologies.

The new partnerships, which build upon Rearden Commerce's expansive base of travel content and suppliers, will enhance the overall consumer experience of its Deem™ Travel platform– bringing trusted traveler reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor, optimal seating plans from SeatGuru, and a vast network of train routes across North America and Europe from SilverRail Technologies. Deem Travel will be the first to deliver all of this information in a single, easy-to-view booking tool that links directly to corporate travel systems.

"Anyone booking travel online knows the hassles of triple-checking multiple websites for the best itinerary and spending time sorting through thousands of unorganized search results," said Patrick Grady, CEO of Rearden Commerce. "We're incorporating this new information, alongside the information our Relevance Engine has about a traveler's preferences, company policies and past travel history to surface a few relevant, customized recommendations from thousands of choices. Deem Travel will know what seat you like, the time of day you like to fly, which airplanes have Wi-Fi, which seats have extra leg room, whether you prefer high speed rail, and where you like to stay – and it's smart enough to make it work within your company's travel policies."

Relevance and Personalization Changing How Buyers and Sellers Interact

Business travelers want to book the travel they need quickly and easily; Deem Travel saves users time by putting relevance and personalization at the top of the search queue, serving up the best recommended choices for any trip.

Because the tool is completely integrated with each company's own travel policies, Deem Travel solves a persistent and costly problem: Employees who resist using 'official' travel booking systems, and go 'rogue' – booking travel on their own, at full fare, on various websites.

"Having all the essential content in one place keeps employees coming back to the booking tool," said Grady. "And companies get to keep their hard-won corporate discounts."

TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel site, will contribute hotel ratings and fresh traveler reviews and opinions to help travelers plan and have the perfect trip. This constantly refreshed content will also help corporate travel managers ensure that preferred hotels are highly rated.

"With more than 50 million reviews and opinions, TripAdvisor helps make travel dollars go farther," said Raina Santucci, Senior Manager of Partnerships, TripAdvisor. "Leveraging our rich, user-generated content, Rearden Commerce is providing business travelers with the information they need to make timely and informed travel decisions based on the wisdom of other travelers."

SeatGuru's air travel content, which has earned the site leadership status for its extremely detailed airline seatmaps based on feedback from real fliers, will help power relevant results by sorting flight results based on productivity amenities – like access to Wi-Fi, seats that recline enough to actually get work done, overhead baggage space and legroom. Through the new content, Deem Travel will predict the ideal flight for an individual, based on past trips, company policy, in-flight amenities and traveler preferences.

"SeatGuru has a long history of providing travelers with relevant information and recommendations on airline seats and the overall flight experience," said Jami Counter, Senior Director of SeatGuru. "We're proud to partner with Rearden Commerce to provide this helpful content to their business travel customers during the flight booking process."

Rearden's expanding rail partnership with SilverRail Technologies will offer travelers the ability to book multiple rail suppliers from a single platform – enhancing its existing US AMTRAK Rail content with UK Rail and, in 2012, Canada VIA Rail.

"As travelers increasingly choose high-speed rail travel, our innovative rail platform and API offers a consistent user experience across global rail lines," said Aaron Gowell, Founder and CEO of SilverRail Technologies. "Rearden Commerce understands the business travelers' needs and is effectively leveraging new content to provide a complete range of travel options."
